Canoe expeditions

These activities provide Cree youths and community members with opportunities to practise Cree culture and traditions.

A total amount of $80,000 was committed for canoe expeditions by the Corporation for the year 2008- 2009, as follows:

• 2008-065: Waskaganish Youth Annual Canoe Brigade: $20,000
• 2008-067: Mistissini Annual Youth Canoe Excursion Project 2008: $10,000
• 2008-085: Eastmain Wellness Centre Mahiihkanish Summer Camp 2008: $10,000
• 2008-087: CRA Mamuu Maahetaau Project: $20,000
• 2008-088: Wemindji 14th Annual Canoe Expedition Old Factory River: $10,000
• 2008-090: Oujé-Bougoumou Wilderness Canoe Excursion: $10,000
